Starting a Weight Loss Journey

Welcome back ladies and gents! So today I wanted to talk about starting a weight loss journey (or any journey really). I know some people will be like just start. I say easy for you to say (laughing). For some of us it’s not that simple. Yes I know your gonna say you can feel an excuse coming on, maybe your right or maybe they are legit things.

I know for myself (can’t speak for anyone else) once I get going it’s just like another thing on my to do list, but it’s actually starting that’s the problem. I start work at 4:30am so definitely can’t be before work. Get out at 1:00pm as of late have been having to do things for my son’s program or meetings, etc.

By the time I’m done with that I’m wiped out. Then it’s getting things ready for the next day showers and bed. Never mind this New England weather isn’t helping. One minute 50 degrees the next 20. So were and how do I start?

Well tax season is upon us so I am thinking of getting a gym membership. That will definitely help with the uncooperative weather. Hopefully once all this initial things are done I won’t be so busy after work with meetings and stuff. So after work would be the ideal time to go. Now it’s finding the motivation to do it.

With everything going on in my life a very demanding physical job, caregiver, transition of doctors and programs, (never mind the everyday things) I will have to be my own motivation. Because as they say if you don’t take care of yourself you can’t take care of anyone. There is definite truth to that.

Sometimes we are so bogged down by everything we have going on we forget that. And by the time we realize it we are so exhausted or sick in some way. I’ve been guilty myself to were sometimes it is so difficult to get out of bed comes I’m sore from work or I have a migraine and feel nauseous.

It’s not that I have a lot to loose (already done that) but just for all over health. So wish me luck as I start this journey once again as I wish you luck on yours and if you have any ideas you would like to share I would be very glad to hear from you. Here’s to a happy, healthy life. Till next time.
